Description

Ever wondered what it means to code? Start with One Hour of Code!

The University of Adelaide Computer Science Education Research Group (CSER) and eResearch Support (University Libraries and Technology Services) are teaming up to bring staff and students this free lunchtime event.

We live in a world surrounded by technology. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science. Coding is for everyone; it’s about creating technology -not just consuming it. Coding is becoming an increasingly important skill in research data collection and analysis and many disciplines today involve some form of computation. But, how do you learn to code?

Bring along your lunch and your laptop or tablet and explore free online coding tutorials with support from others.

This event is suitable for people with no prior coding experience.

With fun and interactive learn-to-code tutorials that appeal to a number of interests and levels - from creating Art with code, to solving puzzles and making games -we are sure to have something that interests you.

By the end of the Hour, we will have you coding!

Please RSVP for the event by booking a ticket.

* Please note, this event is for The University of Adelaide staff and students only.
